To present young Dutch fashion design talent, the Dutch Fashion Foundation organised a catwalk show during the first Amsterdam International Fashion Week in July 2004. The designs of fashion designers Jan Taminiau, Percy Irausquin, Charlotte Albers, Mada van Gaans, Monique van Heist and Katrin Neyer showed the emerging fashion talent existing on Dutch sole with a collective catwalk presentation on July 31st.

Launched in 2004 for the first time from July 29th till August 1st at the Westergasfabriek property, the Amsterdam International Fashion Week marked Amsterdam as fashion capital and gave Dutch brands and designers the opportunity to present themselves to a national and international fashion audience. Purpose of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week was to put Amsterdam and Dutch designers on the international fashion map and became a biannual event.




During the 3rd Amsterdam International Fashion Week in July 2005 the Dutch Fashion Foundation presented the three designers Angelos Bratis, Jeroen van Tuyl and Ferdinand Schmeits with a collective catwalk show.
